Have you ever wondered how to add color to resin like ICE Resin? I knew there had to be an easy way. You know me, I like easy projects!

A few weeks ago I made a video showing how to make faux enamel dots with ICE Resin. I colored the ICE Resin with Surfacez reinker and then I made them into droplets.

For this project, I colored the ICE Resin again with Surfacez reinker and poured it into my bezel. Then, a couple hours after pouring the ICE Reisn, when it was cured partially, I tilted the bezel vertically and added drops of Surfacez reinker in other colors, allowing the ink to blend with the ICE Resin as it slowly dripped downward. The result was this fun, colorful, artsy piece that looks like it was way more difficult to make than it was!

The trick is to allow the ICE Resin to cure for a few hours before tilting – the resin is still liquid but moves much more slowly, giving you time to work with it and add color without making a big mess. Or you can always go the safer route to add color to resin – add it when you mix it and before you pout it into the bezel.

Check out this tutorial I made:

What would you create with ICE Resin and Surfacez? Leave me a comment telling me what you would create!
