Have you ever wondered how to achieve a well blended ombre effect with spray ink on cards or mixed media projects? The secret is water!

Ombre-Spray-Ink

I recently created a set of cards using an ombre technique with spray ink – it's so easy! I used ColorBox Spritzers for this project but you can use any spray ink on the market. Please note that some ink has alot of water content so the color won't be as intense on the finished project as if you use a concentrated spray. The entire family of spray ink from Clearsnap, such as ColorBox Spritzers, Stephanie Barnard Sprays!, and Smooch Spritz produce concentrated, intense color, perfect for ombre effects like this.

The image son the front of each card were added using Craft Attitude film. They have an ethereal effect because the film is semi-transparent, allowing the ombre ink background to show through the image. I like how warm the images feel!
