Wedding season is totally upon us and this decorative vase project is perfect for wedding decor or even for Spring or Winter!

But let's say you DON'T have a wedding in your future. Well, I will share how to dress up this vase for Spring time with a few basic elements you probably have around your house:

To create this vase, you'll need a few basic supplies:

Using the Elmer's Painter's Pen, write a word on the side of the vase. It's okay if it isn't perfect.

Carefully fill in the word, making the lines of it bolder and filling them in solidly with the Painter's Pen. Allow to dry completely.

Apply dots of Elmer's Embellishment Glue to the vase wherever you'd like to place a flatback crystal.

Use a crystal tool, like Crystyler by Norma Rapko, to apply 12ss and 20ss crystals to the glue dots. Allow to dry for 24 hours before using.

Now, here is where we get “springy” with it! To dress up this vase for spring, gather these supplies:

  • Gift Wrap Shredded Tissue in a pastel color
  • Twigs
  • Fake Butterflies or Birds

Fill the vase with the gift wrapping shred to the top. Then insert the twigs. Next, perch the birds or butterflies on the twigs:

And that's it! This looks great on a dining table or on a side table!

Easy peasy, right? Add snowflakes for a wintery vase…
