Ahh, Spring is finally in the air! This season is so perfect for vintage style decorating, a little shabby chic, and a lot of pastel colors. My front door was in major need of some Spring sprucing up and I thought an Easter inspired door hanging would be just the ticket. But I didn't want to go with traditional robin's egg blue and pink. How about a more non-traditional, yet-still-vintage feel with peach and ivory?

To create this wall hanging, you'll need the following supplies:

Choose items and inks in whatever colors you like. I painted the bases (Smoothfoam discs) because the ink seems to “stick” better to the painted surface – think of it like preparing a canvas with gesso!

I chose Craft Attitude Printable Film because it is a fast and easy way to transfer images onto any surface. I wanted to layer the vintage images in a collage. Since Craft Attitude is semi-transparent when applied, it allows the images to layer upon one another for a dreamy, ethereal effect. And, unlike paper, Craft Attitude film is much more durable against the elements, like rain, making it great for this semi-outdoor project. This project can also be displayed indoors, hanging from a shelf or on the inside of a door.

Here's a video I made showing the entire creation process from start to finish:

After creating, hang on your front door or on a wall and enjoy! For Spring, what are your favorite color combinations to decorate with?
