Projects from Saturday and some freebies!!

First I have to show you all the fun little tags I made for each of our WhoGAS members:

We wore them on our shirts to show that we were more extra super special than everyone else! LOL I put them in a mini takeout box filled with candies, a granola bar, and these super cute easter eggs I got at Target shaped like hippos, carrots, and frogs. People kept coming over and trying to sit at our table when they were coming in the door, trying to find a seat–hehehehe–but it was RESERVED! LOL

After receiving several phone calls yesterday and today from concerned blog readers asking when I would be putting these pics up, I figured I'd better get on the ball, even if the light for taking pics is less than stellar right now…thanks for lighting a fire under me! LOL

First from Stephanie Ackerman of Home & Heart Magazine–we made these books using big playing cards (not the HS ones tho). It was super fun, fast and easy to do–she did all the stamping for us already too! And made these fun paper flowers for us that were on the covers of each book–so fun. She is so nice and easy to talk to … it was just very relaxing and enjoyable. PLUS, see my name on the cover?? She doodled a name tag for each and every person there!! She is just simply amazing. She is selling the extra kits in her Etsy store so I am not posting all the pics–just the cover. All the money she raises from selling the kits on Etsy will be donated to Scrapbook Royalty as well!!

The other class I took was from Michelle Hill of Polka Dot Whimsy. We did a cute little mini book–I think she used stuff from 10 different companies in it but it all worked–that girl knows how to choose and match colors–wow! I added some extra “doo-dahs” of my own but overall it is the same book we did in class. Enjoy!

This is the cover. Michelle's title was “So Silly” but I used “Together” and made some other subtle changes to fit what pics I knew I was going to use later. I used stickles in the letters–in the class we used glitter but I did not know which letters I was going to use yet so I just put them on at home. The chipboard shape is from my stash, made by SEI. We sanded all the edges of the pages–one of Michelle's fave techniques she said.

We had too much good stuff in here–I punched bigger holes in some sequins Michelle gave us and put them on the binder ring between these two pages. Stuff from my stash: Epoxy bracket & circle sticker (Best Creation), Sticker (SEI)

We coated a chipboard piece in glue and Michelle had these bowls filled with yummy glitter–we dipped the chip piece in the bowl to coat–very fun. Stuff from my stash: Making Memories Epoxy Tag

Here we strung cool beads on a stick pin–we were supposed to stick it in all the ribbons we tied on the binder ring holding the book together–I stuck it in this fat ricrac instead. Stuff from my stash: Epoxy tag is from Making Memories, Big blue button from MME, bling from Kaiser Craft, Paint from Ranger.

Used more epoxys from my stash from Making Memories and Best Creation on this page when I got home. We sanded the Elsie paper in class to show the pattern.

I would have taken the other classes but honestly I did not have time–they were all awesome and fun projects and they were all free! And they had GOOD stuff in them too!

Finally, the freebies!! I was reading Kristin Hayne's blog tonight and she said that Scrap N Fonts has 20 free fonts. I went over and got mine for free, plus a few others, like one that Kristin designed called CK June Bug Louise that is on their TOP 10 best sellers page!! Woohoo for Kristin! And thanks for sharing those free fonties!
