And that was today! Boy, am I exhausted!
I woke up this AM in someone else's house–my friend Holly's! We had our first ever Girl Scout sleepover. It was super fun. I crashed out way before the girls but luckily Holly and her hubby were totally willing to take over. We had s'mores, made a fire, played on the trampoline, ate pizza, watched movies, told stories, and made “sit-upons” all in preparation for our camping trip in two weeks. It was alot of fun. Okay, maybe the movies and pizza weren't part of the camping prep but it WAS a SLEEPOVER!
Katie and I went home and after seeing what a pretty day it was, we chatted with Xaver about what to do today. I was supposed to go to the So Cal Scrap Group crop in Orange, CA and teach a make n take but I was just way too pooped to pack for a crop plus Xaver had not really seen me all week. We needed some family time so we decided to go to the beach! We packed a picnic lunch and then went off to the crop. I taught my class and it was fun–the crop looked so awesome! Several of the ladies form Who Gives A Scrap? were there–they are the best!! I wanted to stay but memories were waiting to be made with the family.
So off we went to the beach–we had to drive a little further south but we made it Corona Del Mar, one of the beaches I really like. Katie instantly made a new friend Mikayla and they ran around to all the tidepools looking for minnows and crabs. We discovered that Matt loves the sand but hates the water–totally the opposite from Katie. After a few hours we made our way back home.
The day would not be complete with out SOME scrapbooking so I stopped by Scrapping Lounge's 12 Hour Crop, shopped for class supplies for upcoming classes and chatted with friends. It was a nice end to the evening. We grabbed some Wendy's on the way home and hung out for the night. A nice day indeed…
