OooooooW!

I got my wisdom teeth pulled today! Ouch!! I only had 3 left to pull and boy, was it gnarly. I had these dreams of scrapping tonight–HA! I just want to sleep. And I am hungry.

Anyways, the lidocaine or whatever they give in the shots was not doing the trick. So the Dr. opted to give me nitrous. The assistant said it would be like drinking ONE alcoholic beverage. I figured that would not be too bad. They said it was going to increase my pain tolerance and I seriously wondered how “ONE drink” could really do that while they were strapping on the breathing device and then wooooooooaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh……….that is some serious stuff! First I started getting all tingly. Then it felt like a a gigantic brick fell on me. Then the room started spinning, I could not move, and I wanted to pass out. Forget “one drink” — that was like an entire KEG! I don't know what that girl drinks but that was no “one drink” kind of feeling. I am still worried I will have a hangover tomorrow!

Anyways, after the Dentist finished he asked me if the nitrous made it hurt less. I said,” No, it hurt a ton still but I could not move so I just had to suffer through it.” He totally got a kick out of that and had to share with several other assistants. I guess no one else had had a reaction like that before?!? Well, he can have his laugh cuz I got him back earlier–I bit his finger. So there! LOL Just had to share my crazy story. Now off to bed!

  2. I had my two bottom wisdom teeth pulled recently… I asked to be knocked out. Boy did that make me feel sick! But I recovered the next day. But I still (now) have two opening, since I had the surgery three weeks ago. Have to clean it everyday. :-)
