Who Gives A Scrap, the Yahoo Group of croppers I am in, is doing Elsie's 52 Challenges, one per week. I'm skipping around a bit but here is my attempt at Week #5:

Embellish a Floral Accent: No matter what your page topic, I bet you can find a place for a flower accent in your design. But take it up a notch. Embellish the center of your flower with a mini clock, a tiny thread-tied-button or patterned paper. And don’t be afraid to turn a large flower shape into a photo frame!

I embellished some Prima Months of the Year flowers with pearls. I added more pearls around the flowers along with some Jenni Bowlin stickers stars. I stamped more floral flourishes onto some notebook style paper, cut them out, and added pearls to those too.

Supplies:

Patterned Paper – Prima, Webster's Pages, Graphic 45, Foo-Fa-La
Ink – Close to My Heart, Colorbox Chalk
Brads – Close to My Heart, Stampin' Up!
Stickers – Jenni Bowlin
Flowers – Prima

Alphabet Stickers- Makine Memories, Basic Grey

Pearls – KaiserCraft
Stamps – Fiskars

It started with jewelry, beading, sewing, home decor, painting, basket weaving, pottery, and cross-stitch. Marry that to an entrepreneurial spirit & at 9 years old a girl is selling her wares at craft fairs as far as her parents and grandparents would drive her. These days, Jennifer enjoys crafts of all genres from sewing to scrapbooking to jewelry with a little dabbling in the mixed media world. Her style is approachable and she wants everyone who sees her work to feel that they too can embrace creativity and make their home and life beautiful.

  2. I LOVE this layout, I might have to scraplift it, for my personal use only of course, haha. Ok seriously, I know how busy you are, I think you have a scrappy fairy that visits your house every night and makes all this fabulous stuff. I need the fairy to visit me, can you please send her to my house?
