I did a tutorial for ribbon roses a few years back that was made up of a step by step photos but I thought that now it was time to share a video on how to make these with satin and heathered ribbons from Offray. It's much easier to see the process via video, right? I just got these gorgeous ribbons in the mail from Offray and I fell in the love with the soft, romantic feel of them. They make absolutely gorgeous roses for shabby chic decor, wedding decor, parties, hair clips, and more. I actually used these to make a few pretty candle wraps: DIY Candle Wraps with ribbon
Choose ribbons in the finish and color that will make your project look the best. Satin are great for weddings and cotton ribbons are awesome for party decor and crafts. And patterned ribbons like this rainbow grosgrain ribbon are really fun for making flowers!

I can’t make this work. The video is going much to fast for me to see how you are turning the ribbon. I am using 2″ satin ribbon. I have the center barrito roll,m but can’t get further. when I turn the ribbon, it just keep rolling forever without any clear point to turn it again. Help!

Hi, sorry I just saw this – use 1.5″ to 2″ ribbon – it will also depend on how tight you fold the roses.
