Last month, Hydrangea Hippo was selected to participate in the FedEx Small Business Grant competition. Now through February 23, FedEx is collecting votes for companies selected in Round 1 of the competition. The top 100 companies will then proceed to the next level of the competition.

This is a competition to receive a grant from FedEx for $25,000!

We detail what we'd do with the money HERE.

We want to turn that money back around into mini-grants that we can use to help other small businesses grow, specifically in the crafts and handmade industries. That might be helping them hire a web designer or get set up with email marketing software or paying for a class with an accountant or helping with admission fees to a training or a craft fair they want to sell at. If only they had that help in the beginning, they would reach their goals that much faster!

We also plan to upgrade some things around here at Hydrangea Hippo to help make YOUR experience here better, like adding a classroom and some other resources to help you fall back in love with scrapbooking* and more.

Please vote for Hydrangea Hippo every day of the competition, now through the end of the month! I have a hard time asking you all for this so that is why I put the widget in the sidebar for the last month. But now we are down to the wire and I KNOW how much good we can do with this money. I hope you can see that too!!!! Thank you for reading and for your support of Hydrangea Hippo in this endeavor and in years past ;)

* Stay tuned for more updates about an exciting new class I am working on, exclusively here for Hydrangea Hippo!

Thanks for stopping by! Please follow me on social media using the links on the above right or below this post – I’d love to chat crafts with you!
