A Lil Bit of My Week

I'm taking a page from Ally Serrato's blog and posting all about one week in one post. Well, it is more like just a little bit of the week but stuff is piling up so I really need to post it!!

Here's a run-down of what I have been up to:

Thursday: Taught my “Gypsy Family” Class

Friday: Spent the day with Elena in San Diego, shopping, tea in Heritage Park, lunch at Habanero's–mmmm, co-hosted Crop at Pink Pineapple with make n take, and stayed at Scrap Retreat House at French Valley late and got home after 4am!

Saturday: Recovered from night before, hung out with friends at April's House

Sunday: “Build A Banner” Class and pizza out with Xaver

On Sunday I hosted my first “Build A Banner” Workshop at Collective Journey. Everyone who came to the class got ot choose goodies from my embellie bar and I set them up with tulle and ribbon to match the papers for the theme they chose.

We had a baby banner, congrats grad banner for a male, welcome banners, easter, peace…LOTS of different themes and color schemes. It was awesome! Just what I intended, for people to learn to create their very own banner. So guess what? I am going to do it again! Subscribe to my email newsletter to get the latest news on when I host this event next. Here are pics of a few of the banners created in the class:

Monday: Helped Katie and X with her mission project, did some yard work, went to the dentist – I might need braces!!, cleaned my scrap room to get ready for this week (Silhouette Class, Book Club, Girl Scouts, Disneyland {I'm loving this annual pass thing!}, cropping at the Table on Friday…) so my room is finally clean so I can take on the week!! WOOHOO!!! It's not totally 100% but it is sooooooooooo much better than it has been.

And I am getting to like my new arrangement and having my Silhouette so handy. I do have less work space though but I am hoping that helps me to not make such a big mess anymore.

I love these lanterns and tissue ball things!!! I got those blue ones from Anthropology–they are gift card holders and when I told the guy at the checkout what I wanted them for he gave me a BUNCH!! We just put those up this week.

Xaver surprised me and put in 5 can lights in my front room while I was gone on Friday and it is as bright as daylight in there! I love it–perfect for late night cropping or class prepping. I now have that area as an option when I am working on big projects and hopefully this means I can clean off the dining room table (cuz that was the place with the best light in that front room before the new lights). I am supposed to get a couple can lights installed in my scrap room — I am hoping that now that it is clean I might get my lights–you couldn't walk in there before today!

Here's a little class prep I was doing earlier today:

Later this week I'll have some more classes to post!

And don't miss out:

Simply Silhouette diecutting class TONIGHT at Scrapbook Blvd
Book Club at The Scrappin' Table, Wednesday night – still a few spots left!

Happy Scrapping!
