Despite my best efforts to rest up, my neck is still aching from that car accident. You just gotta love dealing with insurance companies too…not really. They treat everyone like they are a criminal or trying to get over–it's not like I asked for this to happen, when I am really busy, have a two year old at home, etc etc. I know, it is their job to be skeptical but the whole process was created to protect all parties, not favor one over the other. Oh, and then I am sleeping until like 9am, zombie-fied all day from the muscle relaxers they gave me. C'est la vie, huh?

At any rate, I got in a little scrap therapy this past week. I put a photo on my page, then go look at the ceiling to rest my neck, put a brad, then do more ceiling staring. Not much is getting done really but I guess it could be worse. I actually got this page done of us at California Adventure at the Bug's Life show:

It took forever to mount all those mini eyes but it was worth it. I actually found them at Michael's on clearance for a penny. When I saw that it was like an urban legend coming to life!

I've been hearing that if you go to M's and something rings up for a penny, they throw it away! The checkout girl said she had to charge me 5 cents or they were gonna throw the google eyes and all the other penny stuff away. Isn't there something illegal about not charging the price that something rings up??? Then she told the girl in the back to throw out all the google eyes and other 1 cent stuff I had found. I was like “Wait, I can buy thaaattt…..”.

On top of the fact that throwing stuff away isn't “green” and that that stuff can be donated to charities, disaster victims, children's hospitals and the like, the M's employees act like the 1 cent stuff is toxic waste and get all high and mighty about selling it to you for 5 cents. Something ain't right in the world today… but at least it is no longer an urban legend — it is TRUE! I don't feel bad spenidn g 5 cents at M's cuz I don't think that will hurt my LSS too much :) So go to Mik'es to find your 1 cent, I mean, 5 cent deals!!

Since Scrap Pink is over (I am still gleeful at how much money we raised and how much fun we had) I am “de-pinking” my house, getting things back in order. I found that I have some Twenty Pages In A Day kits leftover from this past Spring–they are full of Prima yumminess, stamps, full packs of alphas, full of STUFF Prima has DISCONTINUED so you can't get it anywhere else!!! And these kits have ALOT more than $85 worth of goodies in them. On top of being a great value, I've marked them down to just $50!! They have the instructions, photos of every page and the bags are literally bursting at the seams with loads of paper and yummies!!

And get this: If you buy one of the Twenty Pages kits I have in my etsy shop AND sign up to take my NEW Twenty Pages In A Day class this November, I will give you $5! Bascially, that is your shipping, for FREE! You can sign up for either my online Twenty Pages class or the in-store Twenty Pages Class and get $5 back on your purchase of the Twenty Pages kit in my etsy shop. (Five dollars back will be given on the day of the class)
