This weekend there was so much going on!! I haven't even had time to download the pics from my camera until now. I am sooooooo tired but it was all worth it!

Friday.
On Friday I cut Matthew's hair for the first time. Here's a new pic:

This was us waiting in the car while Xaver was at a Dr. appt. I had gone to Collective Journey to spend some time during his appt as well but I wasn't gone long enough so we still ended up having to wait. I got some goodies for the kids' stockings and also spent my birthday discount!! Lots of great new goodies there!

On Friday night, I joined several friends down at the Prima Warehouse in Chino, California for Donna Salazar's first ever Prima Masters Class!! Here's the class project:

They've outfitted one corner of the warehouse with a full-fledged classroom, complete with carpet, tables, chairs, trimmers, craft knives, scissors, adhesives, a little refreshments area, and a complete Prima STORE to shop in!! And did I mention even the FLOOR was adorned with Prima flowers?! Just incredible! Here's what our workspaces looked like, covered with flowers:

Some shots of the classroom:

I actually learned alot in this class as well and tried several things that were brand new to me: alcohol inks, Luminarte sprays, and resist techniques with crystal lacquer. I've seen these things but that whole “artsy” technical side of papercrafting never really interested me. Until now. The things Donna did were really inspiring and I could see sooooo many possibilities. Pretty cool! I also got some great deals on Prima flowers and even got some for free. And then I saw some friends too!

I went to dinner with my friend Joanne and then headed off to The Scrappin' Table afterwards. I got there at 930PM! LOL But everyone was still there cropping intot he wee hours of the morning. It was great to see Michelle, Tiffany, Dianna, Cheryl and Lola as well as some other ladies and Jenn K for a minute. Lots of great new product is in too!! And to just chit chat for a little bit was nice too. I picked up some new Fancy Pants papers for the Turquoise and Black class I am thinking of doing in response to a request from my friend Robyn.

Saturday.
Saturday I had a class at Scrapbook Boulevard. For the first time ever my mom came to my class!! It was “Nifty Gifties”, six little gifts for $30. My mom had asked for me to each a class like this but said she would only take it if it was up here so I scheduled it. We had about 5 ladies so it was a nice sized class and we had a blast. Several ladies, including my mom, bought extra paper to make those little candy holders I have featured in the Zutter Zisters gallery.

After that I went home for a whirlwind prep night to prepare for last minute class for Sunday. And I spent a good two hours on FaceBook. Dang that is sooooo addicting!

Anyways, while I was on Facebook and pretending to check my emails Xaver and the kids went to the store to get ice cream. He came back and surprised me with a mini cheesecake covered with fresh cut strawberries and also my fave ice cream!! And flowers too!! For my bday of course–we had been so busy we really didn't have a chance to do anything for my bday. Then he stayed up until after 1 am with me while I was on a roll kitting for other upcoming classes. He's a pretty good diecutter–I think I'll keep him ;) I really do thank God everyday that I have a super supportive hubby. He isn't perfect and neither am I but I sure do love him.

Sunday.
Today I got up at the crack of dawn to head to Pink Pineapple Scrapbooks for my class. I met Elena for coffee and a little window shopping beforehand.

When I got there Maryam was sitting the parking lot waiting. She wantred to surprise me and she did: with a surprise birthday party during my class! LOL She set up conffetti, lemonade, cupcakes, goodies bags, and gifts for a mini in-class birthday party!! She is so sweet!! She and Elena brought gifts from some of our other friends for me.

And then Liz and Lexi came to the class to surprise me with a beautiful live hydrangea plant and a cute hippo box decorated with the banner from this very blog!!! I love it!!! I also got a super cute gift from Melanie–a fun little elephant set. A Cute owl candle holder from Maryam. And a host fo great goodies from Ms Elena! It was really fun!!!

I'll have to post pics of all the gifties I got–thanks to you all!! You really did surprise me–I had NO clue what you were doing!

I also had a blast teaching at Pink. It is just one of those ultra fun stores with great customers and staff. It is too bad my class sold out because several ladies wanted kits today when they saw us working on it. We had a great time and everyone seemed to learn something new. And before I left we booked another class for Feb 1 so be on the lookout for sample pics here soon.

After that Elena and I headed over to Nancy's house for a little private class. I had sold a few older kits to some ladies and they wanted to put them together. So we had a little party! Several ladies joined us last minute and we had a mini-class creative session. It was great! Nancy's house is right by the ocean and was just perfect for crafting. And all of the ladies were really fun too. If I didn't have to drive so long home (2 hours) I would have stayed longer and just created all night but I had to get back here to catch some zzz's because tomorrow starts…

THE WEEK OF KIDS!

I'll be watching my nephew as he and Katie are both off of school for a week. I'm thinking this is a good time to start a new family tradition regarding Christmas ornaments. I'll let you know what I come up with. Also, I'll be posting ideas on ways to say “thank you” all week long…See you soon… if I survive tomorrow, that is!
