One of the things I love to do is use paper for themes it is not intended for. To that end, I love papers that allow me to stretch their use and purpose like Trinity Paper Arts' “Making the Team” Collection.
The “Making the Team” Collection represents many sports, including hockey, volleyball, baseball, soccer, and football but not bowling. However, the muted color palette and versatile patterns allow for this line to be easily adapted to other sports, like bowling, as well as for Fall and school related projects. I cut words and banners from the paper and then used an electronic diecutting system to cut bowling specific items, like the pins and stars on the page.
A little ink on the edges as well as a smattering of spray ink tie it all together with a warm vintage feel.
For the title, I cut the Volleyball banner form the patterned paper and then added the title “Bowling” over top with sticker letters. I then cut “Ace” from the patterned paper to complete the title.
