Life never ceases to amaze me. It gets so bad, so unlikely, so “am I on Candid Camera?” that you just gotta throw your arms up and scrap! I mean, laugh! LOL This will make more sense at the end of my post in case you're wondering what I mean exactly.

Yesterday we went to the Route 66 Rendezvous – It was fun, but ridiculously HOT! Like 105 HOT! I got some Christmas/Birthday Shopping done and we had fun ;) The kids loved the firehose they set up in the middle of the street. They also got to go on a vintage bus and pretend to ride it. A nice hour in the heat and now we are really really tan!

This Saturday I went out to Laurie Rush's famous crop for some fun and to get some scrapping done. I taught a little make n take, four cards using Prima goodies. We had a blast coloring pearls and gems with Copics. Jessica Studer was the winner of my Prima prize pack:

And here's Laurie with two of the cards she made:

I also got some layouts done, which was pretty nice! Only one was for a DT assignment and it was pretty nice to just focus on playing ;)

The day however did not start off so great. Joanne Walker and I met at the crop early to go for a little side trip shopping. On the way back, I got rear ended by a TEENAGER! Hello, this makes the case for why teens should not be driving and definitely NOT on the freeway. They just are not experienced enough — we were in slowing traffic and the girl was just barrelling down the road, who knows how fast and slammed into me. If it were not for my spare tire it would have been much worse I bet. Could you just imagine my scrapping stuff strewn all over the freeway?! Ah!

So besides Xaver's car being in the transmission shop NOW my brand new car needs to go in the shop for repairs and what the heck am I supposed to do with Katie needing to be driven to school every day, classes, Katie's Girl Scout meetings, not to mention if I have to go to the grocery store. And then Matthew has a 101 temperature today! So I look up above and say, “Can it get any worse?” and then God makes sure that Xaver's mileage reimbursement goes through this week. Just goes to show you, God is great and the only way to muddle through is to laugh and have faith. Though, if you talk to Joanne, she will tell you I wasn't so calm when the accident happened ;) It just took a couple of days and a sore neck and back to calm me down–I can't get upset cuz it hurts too much!

Well, off to take Matt to the Dr and get more Scrap Pink donations. It's this Saturday and we still have a handful of spots left–sign up now!! It's gonna be a blast!

Happy Scrapping!!

  2. Your weekend sounds like mine. My hubby cut his leg open with the chainsaw on Sat. Spent most of the day at the dr and he is hard headed and stubborn and does not listen so he was out cutting trees down again on Sunday. His leg is now infected.

I am glad your scrap supplies survived the accident and look on the bright side. Her insurance will have to pay for the repairs. Make sure to go to the dr. Sometimes injuries from being rearended like that does not show up for a few days. Take care and I hope life gets better for you and me~
    Hugs,
    Lynn
