I was recently featured on the KWerner Design Blog!! Every week or so she posts a new color challenge. From what I can tell, she works at Stampin' Up! and so she usually chooses SU! colors as the inspiration. Anyone can play along, just choose similar colors.
My page is on the top row of KWerner's “Top Fifteen” selection, 4th from the left. Here is my page:
I did this page as a DT assignment for The Scrappin' Table using the new MME Laundry Line of papers, a fun sticker I got in my Zutter goodies box, and some vintage lace from my Grandmother to do this page of my DD and my Great Grandmother.
This page also features two techniques I'll be sharing tutorials on later 1) glimmer misting flowers and 2) making glittered brads. I also used the Zutter Bind It All to make a notebook style edge on the patterned paper I used, though it is a bit difficult to see in this scan of the page.
Tomorrow I'll be heading down to Wildomar to visit Now & Then Scrapbooks where I am teaching my “Our Family Recipes” class. I am putting the finishing touches on it tonight. I don't like to wait until the last minute to prep stuff but prepping that “Twenty Pages In One Day” Class took about 2 full weeks so I am wayy wayy behind. It was fun but next time I thin I need to plan it further out to allow me that extra prep time! LOL
If you plan on being in the area, please stop by the store. I have free stencils from Kaiser Craft to give to everyone in the class and everyone who stops by the store. Scrapbook Royalty is doing an “Innovations” Contest using the stencils so you won't want to miss out on that!
I have scheduled a 5 week “Off” period for myself starting at the beginning of December and going through mid-January. I need some time to put my room back in order!! And to get caught up on emails, prep more kits, and maybe even get some goodies in order for Christmas sales in my Etsy shop. I have had several requests for some mini banner kits that can be ordered for gifts so I have been mulling over designs for those and hope to get the ball rolling this week. Oh and I want to spend some quality time with the family. We are heading up TG and Christmas this year so I've got to make it good!
Anyways, just wanted to let you know why my blog posts have been kind of sparse! See you soon…
Love the page! You are always soooo busy!
