Getting Scrappy!

I am finally getting back on track with my Lucky 13 pages. Here is a page I created for Melanie using Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird line.

Melanie sent me some photos of an off-road trip she and her hubby took across the Mojave Desert in So Cal – I chose one of she and her hubby to use as the focal point on the page.

I used a 7 Gypsies Photo Carousel Envelope to hold journal cards and act as a sort of mat for the photo. I used Glimmer Mist to make a distressed, muddy feeling on the page since Melanie's photos were about Off Roading.

Supplies:
Canvas – C&T Publishing
Mist – Tattered Angels
Stamp, Ribbon – Stampin' Up!
Ink – Colorbox, Staz-On
Paper – Karen Foster, Cosmo Cricket, Bazzill, American Crafts
Punch – Fiskars
Sticker – Cosmo Cricket
Fabric – Polka Dot Whimsy
Chipboard Letters – American Crafts

Be sure to check out the Lucky 13 blog for sneaks of the other pages from the last month. Apparently we are trying to get this puppy published so we can't share the whole thing just yet … maybe that is a good thing cuz then you'll may just it in print one day instead of just online! You can always ask me to bring the pages to a class I suppose… hehe. Okay, well, whatever, here is the page (Shhh, don't tell Elena!!):

I took the journaling spots out of the envelope so the stamping and stitching would be visible. So it isn't really the WHOLE enchilada, right?

As far as classes and events, I am essentially taking the summer off to be with the kids and just get my house running the way I'd like it to before Fall. We're doing some yard work, cleaned the spa and got it running s the kids have a “pool”, catching up on lots of scrapping and photos, and just chilling. I was going to CHA but canceled my plans in order to stay home and hold down the fort. That means I have a whole week open with NO PLANS! Imagine me, doing that?!

I have totally revamped my front room, bought some new tables, wood ones, for cropping, and have a whole crop room set up now! My first crop in the new space is July 31, from 5pm-sih to midnight (or later if we're still going strong). If you want to come, just send me an email at [email protected]. Cost is $5 plus bring a potluck dish. I am not sure what X will be up for doing but you know how we roll if you've been to a crop at my house before–we'll be having ribs, pulled pork, carne asada, or something yummy from Xaver's BBQ.

I hope you'll join me for some cropping! And if not, hope you are having a great summer.

Happy Scrapping!!
