Growing on Me

Have you ever seen a paper line or embellishment and just thought “Ick! Why would anyone want to buy THAT“? That was my immediate reaction when I saw Samantha Walker's newest paper line from Creative Imaginations. Let me tell you, I was NOT thrilled to be doing a layout for store display with it either. Not only that, but two of the stores I DT with are carrying it! People oohed and awwwed over it and I just didn't get it. I bought a couple of sheets and took it home anyways.

I'm flipping through my photos to find something, ANYTHING that I can use with this paper!! And then I see these pictures of Matt I just got printed. When were were in Monterey, he had on a little red and navy sweat top when we went to the beach. Perfect match! I start laying stuff out, pull out some new American Crafts buttons I just stocked up on (from Scrapbook Boulevard), punch out some circles, cut some shapes out from the patterned paper and here ya go:
I think it came out pretty good and gosh darn, this paper is starting to grow on me. I might even do a class with it! Funny how the world works! I stand corrected. The paper is pretty cute. ;)
