Each day now through Christmas I will share a mini book – a mini scrapbook – with you that I have created! This book is meant to serve as inspiration and along the way, I will share tips, tricks, techniques, and tutorials as well as the story behind the book. My hope is that these projects inspire you! Whether you're creating a gift for someone special or looking for ideas to use in your December Daily album, this series of posts can serve as a resource for ideas for years to come.
This fun Halloween mini album incorporates embellishments from the scrapbook aisle as well as decor turned into embellishments, such as the Halloween themed caution tape that I stitched into a rosette on the last page.
Also, consider using paper whose color matches the theme but isn't necessarily Halloween themed. For example, the grey and orange floral paper on the left page of the photo above is wedding paper but it looks at home in this book because of the color palette.
Adding detaisl like googly eyes can also help tpo pull everything together under the Halloween theme. For a party book, I might use sequins instead. And for a Chriastmas book, maybe snowflake diecuts.
Here are the rest of the pages … enjoy!
Shhhh….. that star paper is from October Afternoon's 5 and Dine Collection! NOT Halloween in the slightest…
Did you see that plastic bat? Got it at the dollar stoe in the Halloween deocr section. We used these bats on our hanging spiderweb decor and then I saved them for my mini books after we took the decorations down.
The paper on these pages above and the page below are not halloween. That one below is Disney paper!
Please pin this reminder about my crafty tip for today — go outside of the craft aisle and use holiday decor for your holiday books!
Tomorrow, I'll be sharing another mini and more tips!! Let's get crafty together ;)
