It's not often that I have a relaxing weekend but this past weekend was filled with craftiness galore! How often do you get to go to TWO craft events in one weekend?

It all kicked off Sat urday morning with a class at Collective Journey–this was my first class there since November! I know!! I am not teaching much locally and it is just a matter of time. I hope to pick things up again in the summer :) It was so much fun to see everyone in class and create together. We kept it casual and had a great time making butterfly diecuts, using new Jenni Bowlin punches by Fiskars, and playing with new Thickers that we customized with micro-beads–that was a mess – creating this fun little mini:

No ink, paint, or stamp was harmed in the making of this book–I KNOW!! Sometimes I find I am in a rut so I go a totally different direction and try to avoid the things that become my design crutches, so to speak. It was mighty fun!

After that I went shopping at a salvage place and then off to Sew Funky Market!!! I did not get to have a booth because I had scheduled my class for this day months before BUT I was able to get in and shop just before it closed. Here's what I got:

These items are from Inspire Lovely and Lint & Button. So fun!! I also got a bracelet for Katie. The market closed before I could shop from everyone — I hope to do the next market though!

On Sunday, we headed to San Pedro for the Crafted open house! We got a look at the warehouse space first hand!!! I am so excited to learn more about my booth and the tentative open date is June 29 so mark your calendars!!!!!!!!!

And got to munch on some awesome food from the local food trucks who came out to support.

Xaver took the pics and he is always trying to take pics of me :) The wind was blowing pretty good, huh?!

I will also be taking applications for staff to work the booth since I will not be able to work it myself every single Fri-Sat-Sun. Please contact me privately if you are interested :)

And, just for a fun, a little peek of a layout I worked on at the retreat two weeks ago…

That's all for now!
