” Can you come pick up this scrap metal and junk in my momma's yard?”

“I saw your ad in the Penny Saver to pick up junk — will you drive to Needles?”

“I dialed 909-648-****, isn't that you're number?” No sherlock, it isn't, otherwise I would not have said that you have a wrong number.

I am getting all these calls, over the last 6 months from all these guys who want me to come pick up junk cars and scrap metal?!?! Apparently they do not know how to dial the phone correctly because they keep putting in my number. Then they say the number to me of the “real” scrap metal person (which is not my number) and ask again if I am the scrap metal person like maybe I will have some epiphany in the next two seconds and remember that yes I am the GUY who put an ad in the PennySaver…”oh yeah, just what I always wanted–to go pick up the junk in your momma's yard…”

You just gotta wonder sometimes… ;)

Maybe it is fitting I got another one of these calls because I just finished some pages this weekend about Route 66. I even used some of the stickers off my Clip It Up on these pages–woohoo!! Trying to use up my stash so I can buy new goodies!!
