For the last two weeks we've been remodeling my daughter's room and, in true scrapbooker fashion, I thought of it in terms of papers!! LOL

We added a shelf that wraps around the room, painted striped walls, and added a vinyl cameo to the wall that I got on etsy HERE.

We still have a few things left to do (bedding, carpet, paint her desk, get a new dresser) but it is liveable again. So without further ado, here is where I've been:

Katie used to have chinese lanterns all over her ceiling but the kids broke alot of them so we threw out the busted ones and arranged the remainder along the ceiling in front of her window (above). Below you can see Katie's desk and display shelf. I plan on spray painting them both white and adding black accents here and there (wherever the gold is). Another weekend…

Originally Katie had painted the entire room the darker pink color. It had the effect of Pepto Bismal–with this lighter pink it looks more bubblegum to us now. We left one accent wall the darker pink.

Bed is from Ikea but it is a piece of junk–looking to replace it soon! We got the chandelier when we first moved in from Home Depot for about $30 on clearance — a steal!!

Happy Scrapping!

  1. LOVE the silhouette on the wall. I put a huge rub-on chandalier sticker on my daughter’s wall. Anyway I saw your comment on Jackie Bs blog and thought, “Hey I know a Jennifer Preist from scrapbook.com!!!” It’s so nice bumping into you in blog land and keep in touch! Oh I am sandbeech on sb.com! Happy Easter!

  2. OMG so cute!!!! We are redoing Fiona’s room for success in potty training land!! I love that shelf idea around her room, we may have to do that for the true big girl bed conversion (we are just going to the toddler bed right now). We have a cute Chandlier in Fiona’s room as well. I am planning on doing some cute vinyl in her room too, more like a tree with flowers and butterflies and maybe an owl or two :)
