Scrapping Away

The last few weeks I have been scrapping scrapping scrapping! I'm on a little vacation of sorts from teaching. Basically I am spending time with the kids while school's out, catching up on emails, revamping my Etsy shop, making sure past class kits have all the goodies in them they need before I sell them off, and getting things in order. I've also been ordering new supplies for classes and kits so I have prepping to do at “kit central” (a.k.a. my formal living and dining room!)

This weekend I will be out of town so no more posts from me until Monday (okay, I might sneak one in at midnight cuz I have some Tattered Angels news to share) but I wanted to share a little scrappy stuff before I go. I hope that if you're staying home that you get a little bit of time for scrapping in! And if not, don't forget the camera. I have been doing that alot lately..bad scrapper mom!

Here's a little “Christmas in July” for you! I created this page for Pink Pineapple as a DT assignment. The paper is already printed with the patterned paper circles on it. I added a couple of scalloped circles I punched from scrap cardstock I had, punched photos with a circle punch and then added some stars in Bazzill embossed cardstock. Super simple! The title was made using QK's Chicken Noodle exclusive die from this summer's release.

I bought a TON of this Basic Grey paper when It's About Time went out of business and I had it in a page kit in my bag for the longest time (like almost a year!). I made one layout with it and just kept on going and going until I used almost all of it up–woohoo! There's something to be said for that feeling when you finally use a paper or supply you've been hoarding: a) it is fun to actually use it and b) now you have room for more new stuff. hehehe I still have not scanned all the layouts I used it on but a few are here:

I used more of the BG paper plus some Sassafras Lass on this page about Katie. Mudman Matt attacked her back when we were working on our front yard. Pink grass? From the Japanese store Marukai that Elena took me to – they are for bento boxes. Pretty fun, huh?!

I love simple pages that I can use scraps on. The crop last Sat was coming to a close and I think I did this page in about 20 minutes, trying to cram “one more in” before I packed it up. I just grabbed some ribbon, stickers, and a button that matched the dominant colors in the pic: red and teal. Then I threw the pics on the page, glued them where they lay, and started adding little embellies as a border around the pics. This would be a fun challenge to do at a crop! Guess my creative juices were flowing after all the “Iron Scrapper” Challenges we did earlier that day.
I did this page for Pink for the DT. It's just our finished front yard. I saw the Bazzill embossed cardstock with these adorable houses and trees on it and HAD to do a layout with it! I only used a small bit of it in the circle. Then I cut out a house and tree and popped them up on top of the existing pattern. The Creative Imaginations diecut cardstock (teal dots) was super fun to use. And I just love that Hambly woodgrain paper–can never get enough of that!!

That's all for now! Happy Crafting!
