What a crazy fun-filled weekend this was!

On Saturday I headed out to Pink Pineapple Scrapbooks in Vista to teach two back to back classes, Build A Banner Workshop (a Prima endorsed class) and “So Tweet”, a 6×12 mini book. Since one class was for Prima, I had a prize to give out and Brenda won, yet again.

I need to have her buy me some lottery tickets! LOL She always wins!

On Sunday I headed over to the Red Bee in Tustin with Aprile, Maria, Pat, and Pattycake for a day of cropping! Pattycake won the crop as part of being crowned Queen of Philanthropy at the Royal Slumber Crop in March that Scrapbook Royalty put on. It took some coordinating but we managed to find a day when we could actually all meet up and go.

April made these cute center pieces for everyone and Patty cake made chocolate chip cookies in bags with a keychain for each of us. We had a blast, got a few pages done, and had some great food (lunch at Chipotle and dinner at Famous Dave's).

We surprised Pattycake with a little birthday surprise too! Just a fun fun day!

I brought my Silhouette with me to the crop because I am trying to use it more now that I finally have a stash of blades built up–for about 5 months I could not get any new blades anywhere! So here is one layout I did with the Silhouette that day:

I taught a similar page during a Silhouette class I taught a coupe months back and this is the second page to that layout.

This is the other layout I completed that day, one I had started at Book Club for our homework this month — create a page with text in a shape. There was a layout in the book with text in the shape of a tree that I used as inspiration. I also used a tons of these shaped buttons from my stash for the WhoGAS “Use Your Stash” challenge going on right now.

I also have some layouts I picked up from The Scrappin' Table that I turned in for Design Team work before I had a chance to scan them.

On Monday the Divine Desert Divas met and finalized plans for our SCRAPINK event!! Yes, we are hosting a Scrap Pink event here in Hesperia, September 26, 2009, starting at 9am – ???. It is a Scrapbook Royalty event so the info will be up on the website so you can sign up soon. You can also sign up by contacting myself or one of the other Divine Desert Divas. Hope to see you there!

And Happy Crafting!

  1. love the new layouts, I just ordered some more blades for my wishblade, man I wish I could buy them locally – its such a pain cuz I realize I need the new blades as I am cutting – same thing with the mats!! Arrgghh!!

Bummer on the SBR event. Mike will still be in georgia, so I will have Fiona and won’t be able to go to any fun scrappy things:( Always happens that way. Maybe next time!!!!

  2. Super cute pages as always Jenn!
I really love the first layout with the wood like paper in the back ground. It’s my new must have thing (Wood like Paper) in any color style or texture.

    Have a great day,

  3. love those pages. Man! Finding blades is super hard. I just finally ordered them from QK website cuz I couldn’t find any in stores or on websites. At least websites that move quick enough for me to be patient with the whole order process.
