Dec 23rd – Day 12

Today Tammy and I are sharing how to use Colorbox inkpads with Donna Salazar Designs products.I created this tag using several ColorBox and Clearsnap products: Smooch, ColorBox Chalk Ink, Embossing Powder, and ColorBox Pigment Ink.
Supplies:
Stamp – Donna Salazar Designs
Paper – Donna Salazar Designs, Pink Paislee, Sassafras Lass
Punches – Martha Stewart, EK Success
Ink – ColorBox and Clearsnap
Embossing Powder – Clearsnap
Ribbon, Twine – hydrangeahippo.etsy.com
Stamp the Partidge In A Pear Tree stamp on the Donna Salazar Artistic Paper using ColorBox Silver Pigment Ink.
Sprinkle the image with embossing powder–the nice thing about pigment inks is that they have a nice, opaque color but are tacky so embossing powders stick well to them.
Heat emboss the image of the tree using a Heat Gun.
Using a ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink Cat's Eye in Lime Pastel, dab “leaves” onto the tree. The shape of the ink pad is leaf-like so it is a nice touch.
Paint the leaves with a light color of Smooch.
Dab on a dot of a darker green Smooch on a few of the leaves and then paint over it with the light Smooch again. This will blend the two colors for a more organic feeling leaf.
Paint the tree trunk and branches with Smooch as well. And paint the Partridge with Smooch in Gold Lame.
Cut a tag from Donna's Weathered Winter paper and add a border along the bottom as well as a string and bow. Cut out the tree and mount with foam adhesive. Add bling, “Merry” sentiment, and punched snowflakes.
Thank you for visiting my blog during the Donna Salazar Twelve Days of Christmas Blog Hop. Don't forget to visit the other blogs on the hop and leave comments to be entered to win.
