Today I am sharing a really quick and easy acrylic card. I actually made mine while watching “The Voice” show on TV this week–love that show! And that just goes to show how easy this card is to create :) Whether for mother's day or any other occasion, acrylic cards are a unique enough to make someone feel really special but they are super fast and affordable to make.
For this Mother's Day Card I used the following supplies:
  • 12×12 Acrylic Sheet by Clear Scraps
  • Donna Salazar Designs Spring in Bloom Paper by GCD Studios
  • Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink by Clearsnap
  • Smooch Spritz in Green Olive by Donna Salazar Designs for Clearsnap
  • Butterfly Stencil by Stencil1
  • Acrylic Paint by Delta
  • Lace, Ribbons, & Pearl Trim by hydrangeahippo.etsy.com
  • Rubons by American Crafts
First I scored a 4″ x 11″ piece of acrylic at 5.5″ and folded in half. Then I laid the detailed butterfly stencil on the front of the card and painted with white acrylic paint. I then traced the butterfly outline stencil onto a piece of Donna Salazar Designs Spring in Bloom paper and cut out the butterfly. I mounted that to the inside of the card, aligned with the butterfly on the cover.
I then added a few leaves and a rose to the inside as well as some ribbons to the cover. Finally I added rub-ons to spell “mom” to the inside of the card. This card has  dimension and playfulness because of the butterflies on the front and the inside, all visible through the clear acrylic card base.
