Where on earth is all the time going? I have so much stuff to tell you!!!! First off, I forgot to take my camera to Expo BOTH days but luckily I pulled some photos from Scrapbook Royalty's photo sharing account that Elena uploaded–whew!

I helped run the make n takes for two days. Luckily I had help from Tiffany, Cori, Elena, Jesse, Jim and Jeannie, Eva, and Nancy otherwise I would have fainted! Gotta love SBR's volunteers!! We helped people make over 150 Cards for the Troops over the two days!! Our make n take was “make one card for the troops and then make one for yourself”. Xaver had helped pre-punch and stamp almost all of the pieces for me so it went pretty quick. Thanks hubby! We also had a cute little luggage tag mini book. It was so great to see so many familiar faces and to make new friends as well.

Katie worked the booth on Saturday–she had a blast!! She gave away Kasier Craft stencils we had for a contest we are doing–it will be announced in the Scrapbook Royalty (SBR) newsletter next week so if you aren't on the email list, sign up now ( on the middle of this web page)!

Working the make n take table!

Elena and I with Daynah, a scrapbook blogger extraordinaire!

Jesse and Katie–too much fun!!

Because of Expo, I didn't get to do my regular Friday post!! I cannot believe I missed my Five Fridays post!! So I am just gonna skip it this week. It is an extra super long big post I need alot of pics for so I will leave that to Friday when I hope I'll have some time to do it right!

I feel like I am week behind on everything. It is my own mental deadline I have in my head but I just feel like I am playing catch up. Spending all this time dealing with the car issue isn't helping. I went to the bank across town to make a deposit (nothing is close up here I HATE it!! but I like everything else…) and realized that I forgot the pink slip to the car (we are borrowing it from the family and registering in our name until we get a new one) at home so I couldn't make the nice loop I was going to and had to drive back home another 30 minutes. Then I spent an hour at AAA this AM trying to register the car and the signatures weren't right on the pink so I have to go back again tomorrow after I get Xaver to sign it again–uggh!! Then I drove to the DMV to take care of an issue with my license and the line was out the door. There are no quick fixes.

There was a break-through this afternoon though!! I keep seeing this school bus leave our street when I am leaving to take Katie to school and I see it dropping off kids when I am bringing Katie home. Today I asked some of the kids what school they were from…it is the SAME school Katie goes to across town!! DUH!!!! The lady in the office said there was no bus service to our side of town so I have been driving Katie every day and rushing in the afternoons to pick her up. I tried calling the school about it but they were already closed by the time I sat down to take care of it.

So tomorrow AM I am going in the office to see if we can't just get Katie on the bus. That will save me so much in gas and time!! It takes almost an hour to pick her up because of all the traffic. Plus Matthew just loves looking out the window waiting for her to get off the bus. Whew–there is another 2 hours or so of extra time I just got back! Oh and of course there is the fun school bus paper I bought that I was lamenting I might not be able to use–I can use it now!! hehe…

Katie forgot that today was Crazy Hair Day and she started tearing up when it was time to get out of the car at school. So like a good mom I put the hazards on, pulled some hair ties out of the glove box, and went to work on her hair. It stayed in all day and she was happy when she got home–it was pretty crazy alright!

I just did a page this afternoon. It is one of the ones from the Twenty Pages In A Day Event Anne Fisher and I have planned for this Saturday at The Scrappin' Table. Anne designed the page I worked on today–it is perfect for these Crazy Hair Day pics of Katie!!

We're doing TWO samples for the class. One is what you get in the class–that is what is on display in the store. The other sample is a “Kicked Up” version with extra embellies and techniques if you really want to take your pages to the next level.

So on this page for Katie I have “kicked it up a notch” adding letters and glitter and some other fun stuff. Emeril would be proud of us! LOL Everything we show on the “kicked up” pages is available in the store so you can add it that day.

We have a handful of spots left–we actually sold out on Saturday so I am scurrying to get a few extra kits in case anyone else wants to join in on the fun–you won't want to miss out!!! And as always, you can get a kit. These kits will come with pictures and instructions for each page and will be available for pickup immediately after the class.

That's all for now folks! It's Xaver's bday so we are likely going out tonight — Catch you all later!

  4. Well Jennifer, I can certainly relate on the “feeling behind” situation. It is so tough with all the business of school and now the holidays coming! Well the class looks fabulous. I would love to join you but I don’t think I can make it this time after this last crazy weekend!
