Our yard is finally finished, the city came and inspected this AM, and our grant was approved! WOOHOO! I am sunburned, dehydrated, and exhausted but our yard project is now complete and I am very proud of all the hard work we did. It is nice to say we did it ourselves (with a little help from my brother in law). Here are some pics, with Matthew of course:
Also, I took this opportunity to make a new vinyl sign for our front door:
The last one I made was with a quote from the “Jolly” Holiday Gift Set for 2009 from Quickutz and of course, it was holiday themed. Katie and I finally scratched the last remnants of it from the front door and since it was so hard to get off, I planned that my next vinyl sign was going to be permanent! LOL I used one of my favorite fonts, A&S Speedway, and a piece from a Quickutz vinyl art shape for the flourish on the bottom, cutting it all out of white vinyl on my QK Silhouette SD. Love that machine! And that's my scrappy project for today. I saved it so if you want the .gsd file, just email me at [email protected] and I will send it on over.
Now off to teach Bind It All Basics at The Scrappin' Table tonight. Want to learn all the ins and outs of the Bind It All? There's always room for one more in this class–be there at 630pm. See you there!

wow it looks amazing!! I want to do that on our side yard, we have the rocks, just need the pavers. It really is a job well done. I was thinking about doing something like that for our front door too!! Not to sure hubby wants something so permanent, so I am thinking about putting it on a plaque and hanging it on the front door…
