Challenge 9: Alphas

It's National Scrapbooking Weekend–do you know where your alphas are? I as big of a collector as the next person…Thickers, Doodlebug's Loopy Lou Stickers, LOADS of chipboard alphas, Making Memories and My Little Shoebox Tiny Alpha Stickers…I am sure you are using these for titles and what not but there are a few dilemmas when you don't have the right color, you don't have the right letters, or you just aren't “feeling” what you've got in your stash. Don't buy new, get creative! Use up those old alphas before they no longer have any “stick” left.

1. Create layouts, cards or projects using ALPHAS.

2. Upload your layouts, cards or projects that you created featuring ALPHAS to an online gallery or your blog (please link back to my blog to this challenge if you like).

3. Post a link to your layouts, cards or projects on this blog post using Mr Linky (it will show up at the bottom of this blog post) by Saturday May 15, 2010 by Midnight PST.

If you don't get your layout or project done in time, you can still do it. The goal is to get something done using the supplies you already have.

Each time you post a comment with a link to your project you will be entered to win so make sure you post each project or layout separately. The first prize is a $100 gift cert to my etsy shop Hydrangea Hippo, with more prizes to come! Here's a little more inspiration for you on the topic of DIECUTS:

Show me what you got, your ideas for using ALPHAS. You don't have to use alot of ALPHAS on one page, just use them somewhere, even if it is just a title or monogram. No diecuts this week–just use stickers, chipboard, metal, wood, or any other manufactured alpha.

And since it is National Scrapbooking Weekend, I'm adding a special prize to be drawn for this challenge #9!! I'll pick one name from all the entries to receive a GIANT pack of alphas from American Crafts Thickers, Lil Davis Chipboard, Prima, and more!!

I hope you'll join me for this fun adventure. Here's to getting lots of layouts done, using our stash, and making room for new goodies!!

  2. This looks like fun! My favorite alpha stickers are double sided sticky so you can stick ’em down and then put glitter or frock on them. So much fun!

  3. I posted my alpha challenge entry to the TES forum here http://everydayscrapper.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=130411&p=3&topicID=35740503 Crossing my fingers to win the VERY generous prize you’re offering. Maybe I should cross everything else I can think of too. :)
