We're getting into Fall, prime time to get ready for school and then the gift giving holiday season. It's the perfect time to start making banners!

For many years I have been creating custom banners for clients all over the world as well as taught many of my “Build A Banner Workshop” Classes. Banners make great gifts as well as fab party or holiday decor. Change the paper and the whole theme changes!

Creating a banner can be pretty easy — there are lots of templates you can find online as well as purchase pre-made pennants from scrapbooking companies.

The trickiest part of creating a banner is using the correct adhesive. The adhesive will need to stand up to gravity over time as well as be stable during changes in climate. For example, this banner was created in my studio in the dry desert for a client in a humid coastal area. If I used the “wrong” adhesive, the banner would fall apart a few days after being displayed.

It started with jewelry, beading, sewing, home decor, painting, basket weaving, pottery, and cross-stitch. Marry that to an entrepreneurial spirit & at 9 years old a girl is selling her wares at craft fairs as far as her parents and grandparents would drive her. These days, Jennifer enjoys crafts of all genres from sewing to scrapbooking to jewelry with a little dabbling in the mixed media world. Her style is approachable and she wants everyone who sees her work to feel that they too can embrace creativity and make their home and life beautiful.
