Welcome to the Heidi Swapp adn Xyron Blog Hop! All week long our teams have swapped product and challenged each other to create Christmas cheer and papercrafting inspiration. Today, I created an altered Christmas birdhouse in two styles, perfect for display on the mantle for the holidays.
Each altered Christmas birdhouse is covered with Heidi Swapp's “Believe” Paper Collection, applied using Xyron's line of Sticker Makers. I love using Xyron for “faux decoupage” because the feel of the paper is preserved–it doesn't have a sticky or brush stroked finish like traditional decoupage. Since these are staying inside, there's no need to seal them against the elements using decoupage medium. And because there is no drying time when using a Xyron Sticker Maker to apply paper to these wood and paper mache houses, this projects goes together lickety split! Here's how I created these houses:
Disclosure: I was provided product from Xyron, Pink Paislee, American Crafts, Clearsnap, and Maya Road for this project. This has in no way influenced my opinions about the products as covered in this blog post. The product links below may be affiliate links.

Love your birdhouses and pinned. I’ve been in a terrible funk and they made me smile-enough so I’m going to give one a try. Thank you for all your inspiration and the help you’ve given me!
