Xyron-30-days-of-holiday-project-ideas-V7

Welcome to 30 Days of Holiday Projects with Xyron!! The Design Team is creating and sharing projects all month long to inspire holiday fun and creativity.

Lately I have been loving working with WIRE! For jewelry and or home decor, I got into wire way back when tole painting was big in the 1980's. After I got into scrapbooking, about 15 years ago, I “forgot” all of my other crafts. Over the last few years, I have started picking up those old forgotten tools, supplies, and crafts and started working with them again. Darice makes a great thick wire that is awesome for home decor crafts! I can't believe that nearly 20 years after I got my first roll, they're still selling it in all the craft stores.

This NOEL decoration uses wire at its core, as the focal “O” in the word NOEL. Hung from ribbons or perched on a shelf, this Christmas word decor is a great way to dress up your home for the holidays. The Xyron Sticker Makers make this project go lickety split too! If you don't want to hang the letters, just remove the ribbons and display on a shelf, like I did here:

I love that this decor can really go anywhere…maybe even in the tree!

Author: Jennifer Priest

It started with jewelry, beading, sewing, home decor, painting, basket weaving, pottery, and cross-stitch. Marry that to an entrepreneurial spirit & at 9 years old a girl is selling her wares at craft fairs as far as her parents and grandparents would drive her. These days, Jennifer enjoys crafts of all genres from sewing to scrapbooking to jewelry with a little dabbling in the mixed media world. Her style is approachable and she wants everyone who sees her work to feel that they too can embrace creativity and make their home and life beautiful.

  1. This is such a clever and versatile project! I love it! I think my Xyron machine is vintage! At least a classic by now!

  2. Super cute, Jennifer! I love how you made the wire “O” look like a loose wreath. You can even keep it hanging year round. Fabulous!
