Hydrangea Hippo by Jennifer Priest

Craft for the Modern World

Author: Jennifer Priest

It started with jewelry, beading, sewing, home decor, painting, basket weaving, pottery, and cross-stitch. Marry that to an entrepreneurial spirit & at 9 years old a girl is selling her wares at craft fairs as far as her parents and grandparents would drive her. These days, Jennifer enjoys crafts of all genres from sewing to scrapbooking to jewelry with a little dabbling in the mixed media world. Her style is approachable and she wants everyone who sees her work to feel that they too can embrace creativity and make their home and life beautiful.

Christmas In July Cards

Last weekend I got started on my Christmas cards while I was at a Christmas in July event. I had grand ideas that I would get them ALL done–ha! I got 13 cards done which is a pretty nice start. I actually spent some time playing with my Copic Markers to color in stamped images

April’s Birthday Shop Hop

This month is birthday heavy for me (my mom, my friends Trisha and Nan, my grandma…). And they’re not the only ones! My friend April organized a big birthday weekend for herself and invited me and a few of her other friends along for the ride. Let’s just start by saying I put a good

It’s Time for A Tutorial…Or Something! I’m having a Wah Moment.

Yeah, I feel kind of bad that I am letting my blog fall to the wayside. I was thinking maybe I am depressed or something. I feel like my mojo is gone and I don’t wanna try very hard to do classes and all this stuff anymore. I have been going through some family stress

Misty, Bindy, Lazy Days of Summer News

I was out of town over the weekend so I was unable to post and share news about the new packaging for Glimmer Mist and the associated giveaway. Sorry–I tried to download the info I needed to post to my Blackberry and post from there but the connection kept on pooping out… Anyways, here is

Scrapping Away

The last few weeks I have been scrapping scrapping scrapping! I’m on a little vacation of sorts from teaching. Basically I am spending time with the kids while school’s out, catching up on emails, revamping my Etsy shop, making sure past class kits have all the goodies in them they need before I sell them
