Today the Designers Crafts Connection is hopping and crafting with school supplies!! I made several projects for this hop — I mean, who doesn't love fresh, new schoool supplies, right?

Check those projects out here:

Today's project is more of an art piece, just with school supplies (pencils) as a base:

Guess how much this cost to make? $1.50!! Yeah — pencils were 47 cents per pack at target x 3 packs. The base is a gift box and the rest of the items were in my stash. I printed the bee out from The Graphics Fairy onto Craft Attitude and applied it to the pencils. Here's the complete, how -to:

It started with jewelry, beading, sewing, home decor, painting, basket weaving, pottery, and cross-stitch. Marry that to an entrepreneurial spirit & at 9 years old a girl is selling her wares at craft fairs as far as her parents and grandparents would drive her. These days, Jennifer enjoys crafts of all genres from sewing to scrapbooking to jewelry with a little dabbling in the mixed media world. Her style is approachable and she wants everyone who sees her work to feel that they too can embrace creativity and make their home and life beautiful.
