Something somewhere somehow got a kink in it when WordPress updated again and all of a sudden, all of the plugins and tricks we were using to embed videos STOPPED working. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

But wait! There is a way to fix that! The problem comes in two places:

  1. When you paste the URL for your video into your blog post editor and make sure it is not a hyperlink, “<p style=……” code is inserted around the URL. This stops WordPress from auto-embedding the video when you publish your post.
  2. YouTube has checked a box to share your video as part of a playlist. That URL, copied from the SHARE tab under your video doesn't get embedded like a direct URL to your video would be embedded.
