Hydrangea Hippo

This all started out as a joke. A couple of friends and I were scrapping at Scrapbook Royalty's Fantasyland Crop for Kids in March and took a little field to Pink Pineapple Scrapbooks. Well, we got on the topic of store names and started coming up with all of our own funny versions…and Hydrangea Hippo was born.

I just could not get it out of my head. I had these visions of cute little purple hippos dancing across a business card, of fun colored walls, or sending cute e-newsletters with a hippo inspired logo…well, I ain't opening a store anytime soon!

This all combined with my deep deep desire to do something more. I just have this drive to do something else, put myself out there even more, to be my own boss, and to do what I love: create.

Well, now it is finally official.

I have started Hydrangea Hippo, an online kits business. No, not monthly kits (though that could happen at some point given recent discussions with hubby) but kits to create things. I'm keeping it in my Etsy store for now so you can visit it there. And as part of the whole deal I am offering home classes where I will come to you to teach (within Southern California). For more details on either of these, please check out my Etsy store.

The first kit I am offering is one to make this layout:

Really just the name of my store has changed for now. And my blog header will finally change too…I'm working on it!

Her style is approachable and she wants everyone who sees her work to feel that they too can embrace creativity and make their home and life beautiful.
