Chocolates and diamonds are great but what about Valentine's gifts for your friends and family? I created a family themed scrapbook to give to my sister for Valentine's Day. I share the full tutorial over on the Tombow blog here: How to Make a Scrapbook for Valentine's Day

I was super excited when I received a selection of papers, stickers, and embellishments from Adornit last month and I could not wait to use them!  One of the things I really loved is Adornit's “Blender Basics” paper pack that compliments many of their collections so that it can be used to really make your prized collection paper go further. For example, I had 4 sheets of the You & Me patterned paper but with the additional paper pack, I was able to get ALOT more pages in my mini album but everything still looks cohesive. It's a very smart design and one of the things that most impresses me about Adornit. Be sure to watch the video over on the Tombow blog to see what else I have to say about Adornit … or “Carolee's Boutique” as I called it in the video!! LOL I didn't have any Starbucks the day I made this video so I am blaming a lack of caffeine on that one…

One of the other things I point out in the video is to be very thoughtful when giving a scrapbook as a gift, especially to a non-scrapbooker. My sister, for example, does not scrapbook so she doesn't have any acid-free adhesive or journaling pens around. Shoot, half the time she can't even find a pair of scissors in her house! When I give this gift to her, I'm going to make things as easy as possible by including a pack of acid-free adhesive, a small pair of scissors, and a journaling pen. You can see more details about which pen and adhesive I chose over on the Tombow blog.

Who do you get Valentine's Day gifts for? And would you ever give a scrapbook as a gift?
