The StencilGirl team is excited to be hopping with Craft Hoarders Anonymous this week! Craft Hoarders Anonymous is a fun challenge blog that gets you to use your stash and create outside of your normal routine. This week, we were challenged to create with all things “messy” so I decided to make a mixed media scrapbook page:
Challenge #10 Spray It! Ink It! Paint It! Smear It! Emboss It!
Show us your inner mixed media diva! Use spray mists, inks, paints, modeling paste, embossing powder, pastels, chalk, and whatever messy media you can find! Let's dig into that hoard, pull out some of that “messy stuff,” and use it up! There is a mess-maker hiding in all of you! Let her/him out to play!
Since I am trying to get more scrap booking done, I did a scrapbook page for this challenge. Over the years, I have amassed QUITE the collection of card stock; and inking, painting, etc is one way to dress up that card stock to use for a layout. I am sure many of you are in the same boat as me. I am also incredibly tired of putting away patterned paper scraps. BORING! So when I read this challenge from Craft Hoarders Anonymous, I knew it was right up my alley!
For this layout I used ONE single piece of paper and the rest is all ink, paint, embossing, and sprays through StencilGirl Stencils. Here's how to make a mixed media scrapbook page with stencils and messy media:
Supplies:
- StencilGirl River Rocks Stencil
- StencilGirl Trees Stencil
- StencilGirl Web Stencil
