Ever since I joined the Connie Crystal team, they have had a product called “Sun Catchers” – a string of beads and crystals just too gorgeous to hang outside as a suncatcher. Then, I recevied one that had some gorgeous red tones in it and inspiration struck.
HELLO! That baby could dress up the rearview mirror in my car and be a pretty suncatcher at the same time! I remember as a kid loving the faceted crystal ball suncatchers that my grandmother hung in her car and the front windows of her “fancy” living room (you know, the white room with white carpet that only guests could sit in). I loved watching the little slivers of light dance across anything and everything in their path and to see how the light reflected off of them differently as the sun went down.
This “suncatcher” is much fancier than the ones of my youth. Connie Crystal did most of the work as I kept the beads strung on the jewelry cord that it was packaged on. I used a large jump ring to add a unique, faceted drop crystal to the bottom of the suncatcher, adorned with a bow. Using Crimping Pliers, I added a crimp bead to the top of the sun catcher to hold all the beads in place and hold the suncather to a length of ball chain.
