Hi Everyone!
Holly here to share a project using the Hydrangea Hippo “Sweet Girl” Mixed Media Kit. I loved the sweetness, yet shabby chic of this kit. I found it perfect for a trio of simple wall hangings. So simple but would be a stunning handmade gift for any little girl or baby shower.
To start, I distressed simple wood plaques with acrylic paints and brown ink. Once dry, I took each plaque and layered just a few elements on all three.
On the pinkest plaque of them all, I used the twine to make “thread” for the chipboard spool. Adding the final detail of the needle and adorable felt heart completed this plaque.
On the green plaque, I layered felt, ribbon and chipboard to cover a large area. Then, added the final detail of the pink teardrop pear to finish things off.
The blue plaque was very simple . Using the adhesive on the back of the chipboard kitten, I wrapped white lace from the kit to create a circle behind the kitty. Then, I added a little adhesive to the back of the lace to adhere it to the plaque itself. FIN!
Thanks for checking out my latest creation with the “Sweet Girl” Mixed Media Kit. I hope this brings you inspiration to create something simple and sweet today!
Sunshine&Bunnies,
Holly
