craftcation conference

I spent the last weekend at Craftcation in Ventura CA–it was amazing! One of the cool things they did in the program for the event was list all of the local thrift shops for us to go visit. That was so thoughtful!

And much appreciated :)

I ditched class on Saturday midday (I know, but there was no time to shop!) and hit the shops with my family. We had lunch at the Busy Bee Cafe and Diner in downtown—huevos rancheros were super yummy! And then we hit some thrift stores. Here is my haul:

All told, $23! I got some embroidery and quilting hoops, some vintage plastic kitchen wall art, a broken yarn ball spinning thing that Matt has commandeered as a “spinning fing” to fight with, a plaque for Xaver, vintage stitched coasters, a drawer thing, and a framed vintage book page. I will be altering some of these yummies in my upcoming “Flea Market Finds” class at My Creative Classroom, starting  April 26th at mycreativeclassroom.com!

Hope you'll join me in class. And I can't wait to make something with my goodies from Ventura!

And, from the All Things Altered Blog Hop last week, I have a winner!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your work never disappoints. I am already a follower and love your work.

  4. I skipped out Saturday morning to check out the thrift stores, too. Ventura was thrift store heaven! I only wish I could’ve taken more on the plane back to San Antonio!
