Challenge 6: Patterned Paper

You can never have too much cardstock…okay maybe you can have too much of that too but patterned paper is one thing that can go out of style fast! Once the paper is 6 months old, it is “old” — new products come out all the time enticing you to buy them. Who wants to play with “old” paper when there is tons of new, new, new to buy!? Use up that “old” paper (remember you thought it was cute at some point) and make room for new. Or just get it on a page so you don't have to feel guilty about buying 10 sheets of Route 66 paper anymore!

1. Create layouts, cards or projects using PATTERNED PAPER.

2. Upload your layouts, cards or projects that you created featuring PATTERNED PAPER to an online gallery or your blog (please link back to my blog to this challenge if you like).

3. Post a link to your layouts, cards or projects on this blog post using Mr Linky (it will show up at the bottom of this blog post) by Saturday April 3, 2010 by Midnight PST.

If you don't get your layout or project done in time, you can still do it. The goal is to get something done using the supplies you already have.

Each time you post a comment with a link to your project you will be entered to win so make sure you post each project or layout separately. The first prize is a $100 gift cert to my etsy shop Hydrangea Hippo, with more prizes to come! Here's a little more inspiration for you on the topic of PATTERNED PAPER:

Cut scraps into strips to make a border:

Diecut it:

Do your entire page with patterned paper, no cardstock, using both sides of a double sided paper (the yellow dots are the backside of the white patterned paper):

Use two sheets as a background (use up your stash from when you bought 4 of each pattern, again no cardstock here):

Show me what you got, your ideas for using PATTERNED PAPER, your cool PATTERNED PAPER with polka dots on them that you've been hoarding, whatever. You don't have to use alot of PATTERNED PAPER on one page, just use them somewhere, even if it is just as the background.

I hope you'll join me for this fun adventure. Here's to getting lots of layouts done, using our stash, and making room for new goodies!!
