Soaring with Basswood

I received this gorgeous basswood canvas from Walnut Hollow to alter with Tombow products. The wood surface is smooth and ready to alter — it was so much easier than using traditional canvas!

I loved that I could get really grungy with this project, even taking sand paper to the edges and the front to distress it. i love that the wood edges peek through the paint. It feels like this has been around for years! To see all the steps in making this project, please visit the Tombow USA Blog here: http://blog.tombowusa.com/2012/08/22/getting-inky-with-basswood-canvas-with-jennifer-priest/comment-page-1/#comment-22611

The canvas itself is for sale in the Hydrangea Hippo shop at Crafted, 112 E. 22nd Street, Marketstall A120 and A140, San Pedro, CA. We are open from 12-8pm Fridays and 10am-7pm Sat and Sun.
