Hi everyone, Nancy here today to share with you a few projects I made with one of my favorite kits from Hydrangea Hippo, the Island Summer Kit. I love the summery colors of the papers, the gorgeous trims, and most especially the fun beads and baubles.
When the kit first arrived from Hydrangea Hippo, my daughter couldn't resist diving right into the bag to see what goodies she could find. And with a bit of a broken chain and some of the elastic ribbon, she was able to create a fun button bracelet.
I used some of the other beads and buttons; along with lots of fussy cutting, pop dots, and glossy accents to create a fun layout of my husband learning to surf. In order to add additional photos I attached a little mini album I made using my Zutter Bind-it-All and some 1/4 inch antique brass o-Wires. I dyed the canvas closure with a bit of Spritz from Clearsnap to give it a bit more color.
Finally, I created this mini album to hold photos of our upcoming trip to Hawaii. I cut each of the papers down to 6×6 and ran them through my Distrezz-it-All for a worn look.
I love attaching lots of goodies to my o-wires, and these lovely trims and beads were just perfect for this project. There are so many lovely trims and additional embellishments, I couldn't resist adding bunches to each and ever page.
I can't wait to fill this little book with lots of fun photos. Get this kit here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/105857927/island-summer-crafting-kit-limited
Hugs.
