One of the things I love about Fall is the bolder, richer colors. Sure, summer is bright but fall is always about the jewels tones, rich caramels, and delicious coppers! I created this necklace with fall and my birthstone, topaz, in mind – fall jewelry is always one of my favorites to create seasonally!

To create the bezel, I added a layer of czech glass beads to cover the bottom of a Susan Lenart Kazmer Art Mechanique Bezel. Next, I added a layer of ICE Resin to cover the beads. I laid a single hexagon sequin in the center of the bezel and added more ICE Resin over top to form a dome. Finally, I sprinkled the top of the ICE Resin with Tattered Mica in Fire Opal, also by ICE Resin Susan Lenart Kazmer, and gently pressed the mica just below the surface of the ICE Resin. Then I allowed the ICE Resin to cure for 72 hours.

To create the dangle, I wire wrapped several faceted crystal beads and hung them on the loop on the bottom of the bezel with a jump ring. I added the bezel to a 24″ piece of chain for an *almost* opera length necklace. This necklace is perfect for a T-Shirt or chunky sweater day! Or, even in the summer with a tank top and shorts!
